Look at the playlist on your music player or smartphone, did you purchase all the music?

I bet 90% of it are downloaded for free right?

Don’t be ashame because I do not pay for music as well. But I do pay for it sometimes though! The reason why I pay for music because when I was younger, I always wanted to be a singer (not anymore). I want people to buy my music to show their support and of course, enough for me to pay my bills. Because of open access, people no longer buy albums anymore.

In contrast to Kelly’s perspective, I am more supportive of downloading free digital music. I won’t pay for it because there are so many online websites to listen it for free! For example, Spotify, Youtube and Free Apple Apps. As a music lover and student, how can I pay for all music I like? I know it is unfair for music content producers, so I have another suggestion for them. A good example will be my favourite YouTuber, David Choi! He started off as a YouTuber with little subscribers. After he got famous, he started to sell his music on iTunes and advertise it on YouTube. If you are a good music content producer, this would be a good idea to sell your music. Once people value your music so much, they will do anything download them into their music player!

Ruhuan shared an interesting bar chart, I realised there were more people who paid for games and movies than newspapers. Why would getting important global news around us be less necessary to pay than entertainment? I feel that there should be paywalls for news because it is very credible and publishing fees for these content producer are rather costly as well. I went online and found out why people won’t pay for online news!
